The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has confirmed that Israel and Hamas have signed an agreement on a ceasefire and the release of hostages.
According to the statement from Netanyahu’s office, the Prime Minister has convened a meeting of the Security Cabinet on Friday, January 17, to hold a vote on the deal.
Netanyahu’s spokesperson clarified that both sides will be given 24 hours to submit any appeals to the Supreme Court before the agreement is finalized.
